Survey Analysis & Reports

Project Overview:

Developed qualitative and quantitative survey analysis reports at the request of community-based organizations and state-level associations to support Community Health Worker (CHW) workforce development. These reports provided findings, recommendations, and actionable insights to strengthen CHW workforce strategies and enhance support systems. Additionally, I contributed to the development of a statewide CHW workforce study, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of workforce needs and opportunities.

Purpose:

The purpose of this analysis was to:

– Strengthen CHW Workforce Development: Identify strategies to address workforce challenges, including training, career advancement, and compensation.

– Enhance Support Systems: Provide insights into the resources and infrastructure needed to support CHWs effectively.

– Inform Policy and Advocacy Efforts: Offer evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders, policymakers, and advocates.

– Elevate CHW Voices: Ensure that CHW perspectives and experiences shape future workforce initiatives.

Key Features:

– SWOT Analysis: Conducted a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) assessment to identify internal and external factors impacting CHWs.

– Thematic Coding: Used a thematic coding approach to analyze open-ended survey responses and uncover recurring themes.

– Comprehensive Reporting: Delivered detailed reports with an abstract, findings, and recommendations for workforce development.

– Statewide and Regional Impact: Contributed analysis and insights to a statewide CHW workforce study, influencing strategic planning and workforce policies across the regional network.

– Toolkit Integration: Contributed findings to a CHW workforce awareness and advocacy toolkit.

Process:

Utilized a thematic coding approach to systematically analyze qualitative and quantitative survey data. This process involved creating a coding framework, identifying patterns and themes, and synthesizing data into actionable insights. I developed accessible reports with clear recommendations to support workforce development strategies. My contributions to the statewide workforce study ensured that qualitative findings were integrated into a broader assessment, informing workforce policies and initiatives across multiple states in the regional network.

Impact:

The reports and statewide workforce study provided critical insights to the regional network of organizations and state-level associations, empowering them to advocate for CHW workforce improvements. The findings have influenced policy discussions, informed training and support initiatives, and strengthened understanding of the CHW profession. By centering CHW perspectives, this project has advanced efforts to address workforce barriers and promote equity within the field.
